Should I contact the debtor?

Q: Should I contact the debtor and let them know the Judgment Enforcer now owns the judgment?

A: No, the Judgment Enforcer, lawyer, or collection agency (JE) handles all communications with "your" debtor. They put their name and phone number on all communications to the debtor, and on all legal papers.

You sold, assigned, or retained someone to recover your judgment or debt - so you should not contact the debtor - at least not about the judgment or debt. You don't have to contact the debtor again - and they have no legal reason to contact you (about this particular judgment) again.
